[Tutorial] Let’s do shading, my own way

Well, I just recently do shading for all my kits, this Liger Zero is just an example. My friends asked me for the tutorial so I try to write here. Hope this helps.

For this tutorial, I use Wing ver.Ka shield.

And use these three bottles of paint.

First step, use Mr.Surfacer to do the thin layer of priming, then use the dark grey to use at the sides of the parts.

Then, just use the white paint to spray them to diminish the gray area, you will see how the paints will collide each other and having a nice shade of colors.

Another example for shade, first step I use primer, then give the sides midnight blue.

Then, I use Gaia Cobalt Blue to finish the piece.

So, that’s folk for today

  2. Nice tutorial, something to keep in mind if I ever get an airbrush. And I find it cute how the Liger is biting the shield lol.

  3. thanks, I hope this helps. I’m sorry the shade is hardly seen in these pictures.
I’ll try to update when I paint again later.

  5. Just as ErazEr said, it’s a Blade Liger!

Really nice technique. I actually never shade my gunpla before. Now I am tempted to try.
